Friendship Baptist Church voluntarily cooperates with the Southern Baptist Convention (national), the Louisiana Baptist Convention (state), and the Deer Creek Baptist Association (local). It is through these alignments that FBC joins other Southern Baptist churches to support ministries and missions efforts locally, in the state and nation, and throughout the world.
Even though Friendship is aligned with these groups, Southern Baptist churches are considered autonomous units. Each church, under the leadership and guidance of God, makes their own decisions about staff, ministries, budgets, buildings, and policies. Friendship is supported financially by the tithes and offerings of its member. Each member has a vote and a say in how the church accomplishes its purposes and mission.
